  • Equipment is measured by factory trained, experienced field engineers. Measurements are made quickly, accurately and transmitted to our Engineering department for immediate development and design.
  • Removable insulation covers are custom designed by the industry's only comprehensive engineering department, aided by a in-house developed customized CAD system. By "engineering" the covers, gaps, overlaps and bunching is eliminated, and features such as slits, cutouts and sections are added to help the covers fit equipment "like a glove". We build the highest quality covers in the industry both in performance and appearance. You will be proud to sell your equipment with ATC Covers.
  • Manufacturing of the covers is performed by our experienced production staff. At each station of the manufacturing process we scan a covers individual bar code to track production progress and assist in our QA/QC process. Our process of tracking and quality inspection significantly reduces manufacturing errors.
  • Once again each removable insulation cover is carefully checked by the Quality Control department before being packaged for shipping. Manufacturing quality, material correctness and dimensional verification are checked according to the design to avoid on-site problems or delays when the covers are being installed.
  • Your covers, installation drawings, and accessories are packaged, clearly labeled, and shipped to your location for installation. Packing lists if required can be automatically e-mailed in PDF format when an order ships. Our strong relationships with multiple local and international carriers assure your goods will be delivered to your site with out delays.

History of Advance Thermal
ATC Corp has been providing removable/reusable thermal blanket covers and systems to the Canadian market since 1990. Advance Thermal Corp. (ATC) was established in 1987 as a design, manufacturing and full service company, providing high quality, low maintenance Engineered Insulation Systems for the industry. In a short time Advance Thermal Corp. (ATC), has become an undisputed leader of the industry. Because of the demand for our superior products ATC expanded into the Canadian market when we opened up a facility in Ontario in the late 1990’s.

Over the years ATC has grown and added key staff members to handle that growth while keeping a close eye on quality and reliability standards for finished product. Today, our engineering and manufacturing capabilities are far larger than that of our competition. ATC offers our customers a fully engineered product. This means that your cover will be designed to closely fit your equipment on every installation. We have the largest fully staffed design engineering department in the industry. ATC employs 8 degreed engineers, providing CAD designs and full product patterns to our fully integrated manufacturing facilities. Linked by the Internet, full-scale patterns designed in our central engineering department are plotted in each local shop. By pooling our engineering department we provide a uniform and consistently designed product regardless of which shop is manufacturing the cover.

Advance Thermal Corp. owns and operates 3 strategically located manufacturing facilities. Each facility has been designed and provided with the best and latest equipment to manufacture our high quality removable and reusable flexible blankets. Each of our facilities is ISO 9001-2000 compliant. From a quality process we produce our quality products.

In The News...

Oct-2009 Discreetly hidden in an undisclosed location, a major oil company is developing a new process for the extraction of oil and gas from the Alberta Tar Sands. When this company needed a special thermal removable insulation blanket for a sensitive portion of their project they turned to Advance Thermal Canada for our expertise in thermal cover manufacturing and our professional commitment to client confidentiality.

Sept-2009 Advance Thermal Canada is selected to provide fire resistant blankets for the CNRL project. In conjunction with one of largest oilfield suppliers in Canada, ATC has designed and delivered fire rated Actuator blankets for use at the CNRL Horizon project.

August-2009 Advance Thermal Canada covers have been specified by a major Canadian oil company to be included on all of their future wellhead installations. Working with this major oil company and their field maintenance department, ATC produced a number of sample covers to be tested in the field in late 2008. These covers were designed and installed to correct instrumentation failures. This fix proved successful and now thousands of wellheads have been retro-fitted with the ATC instrumentation covers. ATC and our employees are proud to be part of this success which is estimated to save this firm hundreds of thousands of dollars in down time and unscheduled well service activity and lost productivity.

April 2009 ATC was awarded the contract to design, build and install a new removable insulation cover for a turbine at the Whitecourt Power, in Whitecourt Alberta Canada. Whitecourt Power determined that they would include a new removable insulation thermal cover on their GE power turbine during their April 2008 maintenance outage. ATC sent in our experienced field technical staff to measure the Whitecourt power GE turbine and we designed and delivered the complete removable cover system within a two week period. The covers where delivered and ready to be installed in record time as promised to the outage team at Whitecourt Power. While the outage took longer than expected ATC field installation crew worked quickly and efficiently to professionally install the new insulation cover on the refurbished GE Turbine. This is just one of the many removable insulation systems ATC has designed built and installed on power turbines in power facilities all across Canada.

December 2008 Who You Going To Call? In the fall of 2008 many well known contractors were working feverously to complete the CNRL Horizon project. Companies like Kiewit Contracting, Altair Contracting and Lakeland Insulation. While ATC was already very busy on a number of other projects we turned up our capabilities while never sacrificing quality. Each week our manufacturing group poured hundreds of blankets into the CNRL job site. Tractor trailers were hired and load after load helping to meet the demanding schedule. Our field measurement technicians measured thousands of complicated blankets and ATC had at times 6 field technicians on site. When you need thermal covers in a hurry, built professionally and priced reasonably, call ATC Canada. ATC was recognized in the CNRL news letter for our safe work practices and for the proper use and application of PPE including fall protection harnesses.

June 2008 Tracer Canada calls in Advance Thermal Canada to work on the Suncor project. With thousands of covers to build and once again very little time to get them finished Tracer Tyco calls on Advance Thermal Canada. This work provided ATC with some of their most challenging covers. With steam traced pumps and valves running in every direction ATC sent in their most skilled and experienced measurement technicians. Drawing from their US divisions in Chicago, Illinois and Houston Texas ATC they went after the tough covers that no one else wanted to tackle. Thankyou, Tracer Tyco, for allowing us to tackle and succeed at these challengingapplications ATC once again completed the task in record fashion with as usual no loss time incidents, accidents or injuries.
